The Soviet's Operation Bagration "South" began on the afternoon of July 14th, 1944, after massive artillery and air strikes hit Army Group South near Lvov. Gone were the days of Soviet desperation; the enemy was reeling as the massive offensive rolled over them. The 12th Guards Heavy Tank Regiment was again attached to the 101st Rifle Corps as they assaulted the German front lines.
Objectives: Your regiment will move west through the defensive lines avoiding the antitank ditches as it destroys all enemy resistance. Your company forms the right flank of the regimental battleline. Your platoon forms the left flank of the company battleline and will maneuver west through the antitank ditches, then turn south to the objective. If all goes well, the objective will be taken by the time your platoon has breached the antitank line. In this case you will move to destroy any enemy encountered, but save your AP rounds for enemy armor, and make sure your platoon does the same. The regiment will be supported by a company of SU-152 Mechanized Guns. In addition to enemy strongpoints, at least a company of armor with supporting tank destroyers will be opposing you in this area. Air support will be plentiful; the enemy has been chased from the skies.
